Mechano-Active Tissue Engineering

The MATE is a compact bioreactor for mechano-stimulation by dynamic compression. It can also measure changes in specimen properties (thickness, modulus, creep) during long-term culture. By combining controlled stimulation and automated property analysis, the MATE simplifies and accelerates the discovery process.

The MATEsystem includes a MATE, MATEpc, and a touch-screen. The MATE fits in a standard incubator. Intuitive software controls stimulation analysis. It automatically generates a final report describing changes in sample properties over time.
